Duties Guest Service:
Greet guests upon arrival and assist with check-in/check-out processes. Provide guests with information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions. Handle guest complaints and concerns with professionalism, ensuring satisfaction. Ensure room service orders are placed & delivered in a timely manner. Ensure the lobby and guest areas are clean, welcoming, and well-maintained throughout the shift.
Night Audit & Reporting:
Perform nightly audit duties, including reconciling financial transactions and processing invoices for guests. Review daily reports and ensure accuracy in billing and guest charges. Maintain and update the hotel's reservation system, verifying that all data is correct. Prepare and balance the cash drawers, verifying any discrepancies. Financial reconciliation support for Finance Team as needed
Security and Safety:
Ensure the hotel's security procedures are followed during overnight hours. Monitor hotel access, ensuring that only registered guests are allowed entry. Address any safety concerns or emergencies that arise during the night shift.
Communication and Collaboration:
Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest needs are met. Communicate any special requests or issues to the following day's staff for proper follow-up. Provide feedback to management about guest preferences, concerns, or areas for improvement.
Miscellaneous & Cleaning:
Answer phone calls, direct inquiries, and handle guest messages. Assist with light concierge duties, including arranging transportation or dining reservations. Restock & clean public restrooms each evening Perform other duties as assigned by the Front Desk Manager or Hotel Manager. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent (College degree preferred). Previous experience at the hotel front desk or customer service is preferred. Familiarity with hotel management software (e.g., Opera, RMS, Cloudbeds or similar) is a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy in financial reporting. Must be able to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively. Availability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays. Ability to stand or sit for extended periods. Occasionally lift or move items up to 25 pounds. Comfortable with prolonged computer use.
