Hotel Night Auditor

The Night Auditor is responsible for overseeing all overnight front desk operations, completing the daily financial audit, and ensuring the safety and security of the property. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent guest service skills, and the ability to work independently throughout the night. Key Responsibilities Provide efficient, friendly service during late-night check-ins, check-outs, and guest interactions. Operate the property management system (PMS) to manage reservations, payments, folios, and room assignments. Complete the nightly audit, verify financial transactions, balance accounts, and prepare end-of-day reports. Monitor security cameras, conduct scheduled property walks, and report or address safety concerns. Respond to guest requests, resolve issues, and escalate incidents according to hotel policy. Maintain accurate documentation of shift activities, incidents, and guest interactions. Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure rooms and facilities are ready for the next day. Perform light cleaning or lobby upkeep as needed to maintain a professional environment. Requirements Prior hotel front desk or night audit experience preferred. Strong customer service and communication skills. Proficiency with hotel PMS or the ability to learn quickly. High attention to detail and accuracy in financial tasks. Ability to work independently and remain alert throughout overnight hours. Comfortable performing security checks and addressing guest concerns professionally. Reliable, punctual, and able to follow established procedures consistently.
