Job Description

Overview Job Summary We are seeking a professional, dependable, and customer-focused Night Auditor to join our hospitality team. The Night Auditor serves as the primary point of contact for guests during overnight hours, ensuring exceptional guest service while maintaining accurate financial records and completing daily audit procedures. This role combines front desk responsibilities with accounting and reporting functions, requiring strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate will create a welcoming environment for guests, manage overnight hotel operations, and ensure the accuracy of daily financial transactions. Previous hotel experience, bilingual abilities, and familiarity with hotel management systems are highly valued. Responsibilities Guest Services & Front Desk Operations Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in and check-out procedures Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a welcoming atmosphere throughout the overnight shift Manage reservations, room assignments, and guest requests efficiently Handle multi-line phone systems professionally using proper phone etiquette Respond to guest inquiries regarding hotel amenities, services, and local attractions Address guest concerns, complaints, and special requests promptly and professionally Maintain accurate guest records, billing information, and account details Process payments, post charges, and balance guest accounts Night Audit & Financial Responsibilities Complete all nightly audit procedures and end-of-day reporting requirements Verify and reconcile daily revenue, room charges, and financial transactions Balance cash drawers and ensure accuracy of all financial records Prepare daily management reports and audit documentation Review and resolve discrepancies in guest folios and hotel accounting records Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and accounting standards Perform system backups and complete required overnight administrative tasks Hotel Operations Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to address guest needs and ensure quality standards are maintained Monitor hotel security and safety procedures during overnight hours Assist with maintaining lobby cleanliness and overall property presentation Communicate important information and shift updates to management and incoming staff Support guest relations initiatives by fostering positive guest experiences QualificationsRequired Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent Strong customer service and communication skills Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn hotel management software Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during overnight hours Strong problem-solving skills and professional demeanor Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in hospitality, hotel front desk operations, or customer service Experience performing night audit procedures Knowledge of hotel management systems and reservation software Familiarity with accounting, bookkeeping, or financial reconciliation processes Experience operating multi-line phone systems Bilingual or multilingual communication skills Prior hotel or hospitality industry experience Schedule & Work Environment Overnight shift required Weekends and holidays may be required Ability to work independently during overnight hours Training provided for qualified candidates Why Join Our Team?
