JOB SUMMARY

The Lead Revenue Auditor is responsible for overseeing the daily, weekly and monthly revenue audits as well as overseeing overall training of the Revenue Audit Team for Derby City Gaming Hotel and Derby City Downtown.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversight and training of Revenue Audit functions and team members regarding day-to-day operations.

Review and prep daily audits, including the distribution of daily operating reports.

Verify soft count deposits using accounting software.

Auditing and accounting for all control documents and preparing exception reports for all errors.

Reviewing, compiling, and reporting taxable earnings information, including ensuring proper authorization of all transactions.

Review and prepare journal entries on a daily basis to ensure accuracy.

Perform and guide monthly and quarterly inventories.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Competency demonstrated in leading the Revenue Audit team and assigned duties.

Maintaining interpersonal working relationships among all personnel.

Oral and written communication skills.

Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of Revenue Audit.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

One to three years' of experience in an audit, accounting, or analytical position required.

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience is preferred.

Valid Racing License.
