Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Hotel Night Auditor to join our hospitality team. The Night Auditor plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions, maintaining guest satisfaction, and supporting the smooth overnight operation of the hotel. This position involves handling client communication, managing reservation and property management systems, performing night audit procedures, and utilizing OPERA software to ensure operational excellence during nighttime hours. Responsibilities Conduct nightly audits of financial transactions and ensure accuracy in guest billing and accounting records using property management systems (PMS) such as OPERA. Manage and update reservations within hospitality reservation systems, ensuring all bookings are accurately recorded and confirmed. Communicate effectively with guests, staff, and management to address inquiries, resolve issues, and provide exceptional service during overnight shifts. Prepare and distribute daily reports related to revenue, occupancy, and other key hotel metrics. Ensure all guest information is handled with confidentiality and professionalism. Support front desk operations as needed, including check-ins and check-outs during late hours. Maintain security protocols for the property during overnight hours. Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to address any guest or property needs promptly. Qualifications Previous experience in hospitality or hotel operations is preferred. Familiarity with property management systems (PMS), especially OPERA software. Experience with hospitality reservation systems is advantageous. Strong communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration. Attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping. Ability to work independently during night shifts while maintaining high standards of service. Basic computer skills including proficiency in MS Office or similar applications.
