Night Auditor (Full-Time, Overnight) The Portland Regency Hotel & Spa - Portland, Maine The Portland Regency Hotel & Spa, a Historic Hotel of America located in the heart of Portland's Old Port District, is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Night Auditor to join our overnight team. This position combines guest service responsibilities with nightly accounting and audit functions to ensure accurate daily financial reporting and exceptional guest experience.

Schedule:

Full-time, overnight shifts (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Weekends and holidays are required.

This role also serves as an overnight Guest Service Agent, assisting guests with check-in, check-out, reservations, and requests while ensuring a safe and welcoming environment. Key Responsibilities Guest Service Provide professional, courteous service to all guests Check guests in and out efficiently Respond to guest requests, concerns, and inquiries Answer phones and assist with overnight reservations Maintain a clean, organized front desk and lobby area Assist with guest needs and coordinate with overnight security when necessary Night Audit & Accounting Reconcile daily financial transactions from all departments Post room charges and balance guest accounts Balance and process credit card batches Prepare and distribute daily revenue and audit reports to management Maintain accurate records and organized audit documentation Run required system reports and support accounting processes Operational Support Communicate important updates and activity to morning staff Assist with basic administrative and operational tasks Support overnight hotel safety and security procedures Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Previous hotel front desk, guest service, or accounting experience preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and manage overnight responsibilities Professional communication and customer service skills Basic math and computer proficiency required Experience with hotel property management systems (Opera preferred) and Microsoft Office is a plus Valid driver's license preferred Physical Requirements Ability to stand or sit for extended periods (up to 8 hours) Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally Ability to use computers and standard office equipment Why Join Our Team?
