11:00 PM•7:00 AM (Weekends & Holidays Required) Quality Inn Downtown Detroit, proudly part of the Choice Hotels family, is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Night Auditor to join our hospitality team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, has strong customer service skills, and thrives in an overnight environment. As the Night Auditor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy of daily financial transactions while providing exceptional guest service during overnight hours. The ideal candidate must have previous hotel experience and be proficient in the Choice Advantage Property Management System (PMS). Responsibilities Welcome guests with exceptional customer service during check-in and check-out. Perform nightly audit procedures to reconcile daily hotel transactions. Balance room revenue, payments, and cash drawers accurately. Process reservations, modifications, cancellations, and walk-in guests using the Choice Advantage PMS . Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and resolve concerns. Prepare and distribute daily financial and operational reports. Verify room rates, postings, guest folios, and billing accuracy. Handle cash, credit card transactions, and maintain proper accounting procedures. Monitor hotel security throughout the overnight shift. Conduct property walks and ensure guest safety and security. Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance regarding overnight issues. Answer multi-line phones and assist guests with reservations and hotel information. Ensure the front desk, lobby, and breakfast area remain clean, organized, and guest-ready. Set up the breakfast area according to hotel standards when applicable. Follow all Choice Hotels brand standards, hotel policies, and safety procedures. Qualifications Previous hotel front desk or night audit experience. Experience using the Choice Advantage Property Management System (PMS) is
REQUIRED.
Strong computer and data entry skills. Excellent communication and customer service abilities. Strong mathematical and accounting skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Preferred Experience with Choice Hotels brand standards. Hotel accounting or bookkeeping experience. Experience handling cash and balancing financial reports. Knowledge of OTA reservations (Expedia, Booking.com, etc.).
