Job Description
Night Auditor - Part-Time Comfort Inn & Suites is looking for a dependable, responsible, and detail-oriented Night Auditor to join our team. The Night Auditor is responsible for operating the front desk during overnight hours, assisting guests, completing the hotel's daily audit and accounting procedures, and preparing the property for the next business day. Because this position works independently for much of the overnight shift, reliability, attendance, good judgment, and the ability to stay on task are extremely important. Night Audit or hotel front desk experience is preferred; however, we are willing to train the right person who has strong customer service skills, basic computer knowledge, and a dependable work history. Schedule 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM Part-time Must be available for scheduled weekends and holidays Dependable attendance and punctuality are required Responsibilities Greet guests and provide friendly, professional customer service. Check guests in and out accurately. Answer hotel phone calls and assist guests with questions and requests. Process reservations, payments, and room assignments. Handle guest concerns professionally and appropriately. Complete the nightly audit and end-of-day procedures. Balance and reconcile daily revenue and payment reports. Maintain accurate records and complete required Night Audit paperwork. Monitor the property and follow hotel safety and security procedures throughout the night. Address noise complaints and other overnight guest concerns when necessary. Prepare and set up the breakfast area for the morning. Perform light cleaning and maintain the lobby, front desk, breakfast area, and other public areas as needed. Complete assigned overnight tasks before the end of the shift. Communicate important information and overnight issues to the incoming shift and management. What We're Looking For Dependable and punctual — overnight coverage requires someone who consistently reports for scheduled shifts. Comfortable working independently and staying productive without constant supervision. Friendly and professional when interacting with guests. Strong attention to detail, especially when handling money, payments, and audit reports. Able to follow written procedures and complete required tasks accurately. Basic computer skills and ability to learn hotel software. Good communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Previous hotel, front desk, cashier, accounting, or customer service experience is a plus. Night Audit experience is preferred but not required — we will train the right candidate. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
