Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Night Auditor, where your energetic and detail-oriented approach will ensure seamless overnight operations at our hotel. In this vital role, you will oversee guest check-ins and check-outs, maintain accurate financial records, and provide exceptional guest services during the overnight shift. This role combines finance, customer service, and operational oversight. Your enthusiasm and professionalism will help create a welcoming environment for guests arriving late or departing early, ensuring their experience is smooth, safe, and memorable. Roles and Responsibilities:
This job description is not an exclusive or exhaustive list of all job functions that an employee in this position may be asked to perform from time to time. Key Responsibilities Nightly Accounting & Auditing Balances the day's financial transactions, including room charges, restaurant charges, and other hotel services. Prepares daily financial reports for management. Ensure all receipts and payments are correctly recorded. Front Desk Duties Checks in late-night guests and handles late check-outs. Answers guest inquiries and resolve issues that arise overnight. Maintains a secure environment for guests during night hours. Leave detailed notes for morning management on VIP arrivals, pending tasks, or unresolved issues. Reconciliation & Reporting Reconciles credit card payments and cash deposits. Updates occupancy records and room status reports. Generates daily revenue and occupancy summaries. Run nightly backups for PMS, accounting, and reporting systems Security & Operational Oversight Monitors the hotel premises for safety and security. Coordinates with night security or maintenance if needed. Prepares the hotel for the next day's operations. Record any unusual events, accidents, or maintenance issues overnight.
Requirements:
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules (including nights, holidays and weekends) to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required. Required Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (hospitality or accounting training is a plus) Previous hotel front desk or customer service experience preferred Attention to detail and strong numerical skills. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Customer service and problem-solving ability for overnight guest support. Good communication and interpersonal skills Basic accounting knowledge or proficiency with hotel management software. Strong ability to work independently and make decisions in low-staff night hours. Familiarity with hotel management software (e.g., PMS systems) Friendwell Managed Hotels function twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. As a part of the hospitality industry a hospitable service atmosphere must be maintained at all times. All employees are required to project a friendly, welcoming, and positive attitude.
