This hands-on role combines guest service, front desk operations, night audit, payment review, laundry production, breakfast preparation, property readiness, and security observation. The ideal candidate is organized, calm under pressure, comfortable working independently, and committed to leaving the hotel ready for the morning team. Responsibilities Provide professional overnight front desk coverage, including reservations, check-ins, checkouts, guest requests, payment processing, and key control. Complete night-audit procedures and review guest folios, charges, payments, extensions, and exceptions for accuracy. Maintain clear shift logs and prepare a complete morning handoff for management, front desk, and housekeeping. Process hotel laundry, including sorting, stain treatment, washing, drying, inspecting, folding, and staging clean linen for the 8:00 a.m. housekeeping handoff. Prepare and open the approved breakfast program while following food-safety, sanitation, and temperature-control procedures. Complete property walks, door checks, public-area inspections, light cleaning, and safety observations. Respond appropriately to guest concerns, disturbances, emergencies, and equipment issues, escalating matters beyond assigned authority. Protect guest privacy, hotel records, cash, keys, payment information, and other confidential information. What We're Looking For Dependable attendance and availability for a full-time overnight schedule, including weekends and holidays. Strong customer-service, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple responsibilities, and remain alert and productive throughout the shift. Basic math, cash-handling, computer, and record-review skills. Ability to follow safety, food-handling, chemical, privacy, and emergency procedures without shortcuts. Hotel front desk, night audit, customer service, cash handling, laundry, housekeeping, food service, or other overnight work experience is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent preferred; relevant experience may substitute. Physical and Work Requirements This position requires frequent standing and walking throughout the hotel, regular use of computers and hotel equipment, and bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, sorting, and folding linens and supplies.
