Part-time, Full-time Position Summary:
The Night Auditor is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel during the night shift. This includes overseeing the front desk, checking in late-arriving guests, and auditing daily financial transactions. The Night Auditor plays a critical role in maintaining accurate records of guest transactions and financial data, and they help ensure guest satisfaction by providing quality service during overnight hours.Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in hospitality or housekeeping management is a plus.Experience:
Minimum of 2-3 years in a front desk role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment. Marriott experience is a plus.Languages:
Bilingual a plus.Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in hotel management software (PMS) Fosse and Quore
- Detail-oriented and able to multi-task effectively
- Strong problem-solving abilities and conflict resolution skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a passion for guest satisfaction.
- Proficient in cash handling procedures
- Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems as necessary. Attention to Detail-High level of accuracy and attention to detail, especially when handling financial transactions. Time Management
- Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
Requirements:
- This position typically requires overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift moderate to heavy items throughout the workday.
- May involve standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50lbs.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Check-In/Check-Out:
Greet and check-in late-arriving guests. Handle guest check-outs and ensure bills are accurate. Address guest concerns and requests with professionalism and efficiency. Ensure that any special guest requests or reservations are properly handled.Audit and Reconcile Financials:
Perform daily audits of the hotel's financial transactions. Review and reconcile all room charges, guest folios, and transaction records. Ensure that all billing and accounting data are accurate and up to date. Resolve discrepancies between guest accounts and the hotel's financial systems. Prepare daily revenue reports for management.Maintain Guest Accounts:
Post charges to guest accounts, including room, taxes, restaurant, or other incidentals. Process payments and ensure that all transactions are properly recorded. Handle and resolve guest billing disputes and issues in a courteous and efficient manner.Security and Safety:
Ensure the safety and security of the hotel by monitoring surveillance equipment and securing entrances. Perform regular checks on hotel premises to ensure there are no safety hazards. Respond to emergency situations and coordinate with emergency services when necessary. Communicate withDay Staff:
Communicate with the daytime staff and management team about any issues, reservations, or special guest needs that arise overnight. Provide a summary of the night's operations during the morning handover to the day shift.General Administrative Tasks:
Ensure that the front desk and lobby areas are clean and organized during the shift. Answer phones and respond to guest inquiries or requests. Handle reservations and cancellations as needed.Other Duties:
Assist with room assignments and guest requests for additional services. Perform any other tasks as directed by the Front Desk or Hotel Manager.Pay:
$13.00- $14.
