Job Description

Our client, a well-established organization in the logistics industry, is seeking an Interim Payroll Manager to step in and provide hands-on leadership during a transitional period. This role will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and continuity for a multi-state employee population.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage end-to-end payroll processing on a recurring basis, ensuring timely and accurate payroll deliveryServe as the primary point of contact for payroll-related questions, discrepancies, and escalationsOversee payroll compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including tax filings and wage-and-hour requirementsPartner with HR, Finance, and external vendors to ensure payroll data integrity and proper reportingReview and approve payroll changes including new hires, terminations, pay rate updates, bonuses, and deductionsSupport audits, reconciliations, and payroll reporting as neededIdentify opportunities to streamline payroll processes and improve efficiency during the interim periodProvide guidance and day-to-day direction to payroll staff, if applicable
