We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee multi-state payroll operations and support the Director of Payroll & Benefits. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations, supporting audits, and leading payroll team initiatives.
Job Duties:
Ensure accurate and timely processing of multi-state payroll Manage payroll tax reporting, deposits, and filings Maintain payroll and timekeeping systems, including upgrades and testing Review garnishments, wage deductions, levies, and child support orders Support payroll compliance and internal control initiatives Assist with internal and external audits Respond to payroll-related inquiries and reporting requests Provide leadership, guidance, and support to payroll staff Identify and implement process improvements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience) 5+ years of multi-state payroll management experience Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax reporting, and compliance Experience with payroll systems and timekeeping software Working knowledge of accounting principles Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information.
