full-time Our Construction client in the Oakland/Berkeley area is seeking an experienced Payroll Supervisor to oversee payroll operations and related administrative functions. This is an on-site position. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for 150+ union represented employees, while supporting compliance, reporting, employee records, benefits administration, and various office and operational tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong construction payroll experience, excellent attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and hands-on experience with Vista Viewpoint software or similar. Key Responsibilities Process payroll for 150+ employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Manage new hire onboarding paperwork and payroll setup. Handle CPR reporting and related compliance documentation. Provide support for miscellaneous IT-related needs, including phones and iPads for the foremen. Prepare and distribute man hours reports. Process child support orders and garnishments. Respond to verification of employment requests. Manage disability insurance claims. Participate in employee benefit audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance. Complete workers' compensation reporting. Provide support for MISC audit activities. Qualifications 3+ years of payroll experience, including at least 2 years in the construction industry and certified payroll. Experience using Vista Viewpoint software is a plus. Bachelor's degree preferred. Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, garnishments, benefits administration, and compliance reporting. Highly organized with strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
