Job Description

Payroll Supervisor We are partnering with a fast-growing organization seeking a Payroll Supervisor to lead and scale its payroll operation. This role will oversee end-to-end payroll processing for a rapidly growing employee base, with a focus on building efficient processes, ensuring compliance across multiple states, and leading a high-performing team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, brings strong technical payroll expertise, and enjoys partnering cross-functionally to support business operations. Salary Range:
$100,000-$108,000 Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities:
Oversee full-cycle payroll processing, scaling operations to support a workforce of 2,000+ employees Ensure accurate and timely payroll execution across a high-volume, multi-state environment Lead, mentor, and develop payroll team members, including assigning workloads and supporting performance management efforts Collaborate with internal partners across HR, Finance, and Benefits to ensure alignment and operational efficiency Maintain compliance with payroll laws and regulations across multiple states, proactively addressing any changes or risks Monitor payroll processes to ensure accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and meet strict deadlines Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and controls to support continued growth Operate effectively in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities and evolving business needs
Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience managing high-volume payroll processing for employee populations of approximately 2,000 or more Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll compliance At least 3+ years of recent experience in a payroll leadership or supervisory capacity Proven ability to lead and develop a team while maintaining high standards of accuracy and accountability Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments
