$65,638.00 Annual.Responsibilities:
Processing:
Manage payroll system for timely/accurate processing (salaries, hours, leave, overtime).Compliance & Controls:
Enforce internal controls (reviews, audits, reconciliations); ensure compliance with federal/state laws (DOL, IRS, FRS, college rules) regarding wages, taxes, garnishments, deductions, and retirement.Expert Guidance:
Serve as payroll system SME, providing support and training to employees, supervisors, and direct reports.Reporting:
Prepare and submit all required payroll reports (tax, workers' comp, benefits).Systems:
Collaborate on payroll system configuration, upgrades, and improvements.Customer Service:
Resolve complex/sensitive payroll inquiries with confidentiality and high-level service.- Serve as the liaison with Finance, IT and designated external partners for matters related to payroll.

Bachelors Experience:
4-7 yearsQualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field + 4 years of professional experience (or 8 years of combined relevant education/experience).
- Working knowledge of: GAAP, fund accounting, GASB, payroll processes, tax/employment regulations, retirement plans, and unemployment reporting.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and relevant position software programs. Preferred Qualifications
