Payroll Manager J&M Tile Tampa, FL Job Details Temporary | Full-time | Contract $70,000 - $95,000 a year 3 hours ago Benefits Referral program Qualifications Operations management Bachelor's degree Business Administration Bachelor's degree in accounting Business Full Job Description Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to oversee and manage complex payroll operations while serving as a key partner to Human Resources on compensation and leave administration initiatives. This role requires a strong understanding of payroll processing, compliance, auditing, compensation structures, and HR-related programs within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess advanced payroll expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage highly detailed compensation and payroll components across multiple programs and systems. Experience processing payroll in ADP is highly preferred and will help facilitate a smooth transition into the role. Key Responsibilities Payroll Operations & Administration Oversee end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing across the organization Review, audit, and validate payroll data processed internally and through external payroll partners, including Toyota Corporate payroll activities Manage complex payroll components including incentive programs, sales contests, specialty checks, referral bonuses, executive compensation structures, profit-based calculations, employee loans, tuition reimbursement, and additional compensation programs Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll regulations, wage and hour laws, and company policies Research and resolve payroll discrepancies, employee inquiries, and audit findings in a timely manner Develop and maintain payroll procedures, controls, and documentation to improve accuracy and operational efficiency Partner with Finance, HR, and leadership teams regarding payroll reporting, audits, and compensation analysis Human Resources & Leave Administration Serve as the subject matter expert for leave administration, including FMLA, ADA, Workers' Compensation, and related compliance matters Partner closely with the HR team to ensure proper administration, tracking, and communication of employee leave programs Provide guidance and expertise regarding leave policies, accommodations, and compliance requirements Support HR Generalist staff with escalated issues, policy interpretation, and process improvements Compensation & Bonus Programs Support compensation-related initiatives including bonus plan administration, incentive structures, and compensation analysis Assist leadership with the administration and tracking of executive compensation and organization-wide bonus programs Evaluate compensation processes and recommend improvements for efficiency, accuracy, and compliance Systems & Process Improvement Maintain strong oversight of payroll systems and related HRIS platforms Assist with payroll system enhancements, testing, reporting, and process optimization initiatives Support future HRIS/payroll system implementation and transition projects, including the anticipated migration from ADP Vantage to ADP Lyric Collaborate with cross-functional teams during implementation, data validation, testing, and process integration activities Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred 5+ years of payroll management experience within a complex, multi-faceted payroll environment Experience processing payroll in ADP strongly preferred; experience with ADP Vantage and/or ADP Lyric highly desirable Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, wage and hour compliance, payroll auditing, and tax reporting Experience administering or supporting FMLA, ADA, Workers' Compensation, and employee leave programs Compensation experience including bonus structures, incentive programs, and executive compensation preferred Experience supporting HRIS, payroll system implementations, or ERP transitions strongly preferred Advanced analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments

$70,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
