As a multi-service law firm with offices located on Hawaii Island, Maui, and Oahu, we practice in a variety of areas including Real Estate and Land Use, Corporate and Business Formation, Tax and Estate Planning, and Civil Litigation. We are seeking a professional and highly-skilled Assistant Payroll Manager to join our Payroll team on Oahu.
Responsibilities include:
Processing multiple bi-weekly and monthly company-wide payrolls. Assist the Payroll Manager in the maintenance and overall support for day-to-day payroll activities. Interface with benefit carriers to complete new enrollments, changes, and terminations. Cover for the Payroll Manager during absences. Complete internal audits as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Associate (AA) degree in Accounting/Business or equivalent.
Experience:
Minimum two (2) years payroll processing experience. Benefits administration and ADP experience a plus.
Skills:
Compliance knowledge
  • Understanding of labor laws, tax regulations and wage/hour compliance. Handle and maintain confidential information. Strong organization skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively. Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in payroll processing. Computer literate
  • MS Excel
  • Advanced skills; Word
  • Basic skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for professional employee interactions. Dependable with strong work ethic. Able to work independently and collaboratively
  • self-starter with ability to multitask.
