A healthcare organization in Poughkeepsie, NY is seeking a Payroll Assistant Manager to support payroll operations for a large workforce. This role focuses on accurate payroll processing, reporting, compliance, and system support within a fast-paced finance environment.  About the

In-person Responsibilities:
Assist in managing day-to-day payroll operations for a large workforce Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, including earnings, deductions, and taxes Support payroll system maintenance and upgrades, including Workday implementation Review and validate payroll reports for accuracy and compliance Resolve payroll discrepancies, support employee inquiries, and assist with year-end processing, audits, and reporting
Qualifications:
3-5+ years of Payroll experience High School Diploma / GED Experience with Payroll Systems Strong Excel skills for reporting, data analysis, and reconciliations Knowledge of Payroll regulations, Tax compliance, and best practices Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage high-volume payroll processing Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Desired Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field Workday experience Experience in healthcare or large organizations Experience working in complex or union environments
