Job Description
Description Our client, a growing manufacturing organization, is seeking an experienced Interim Payroll Manager Consultant to provide hands-on payroll leadership during a transition period. This consultant will oversee day-to-day payroll operations, support a compensation structure transition, and help improve payroll processes and documentation. Key Responsibilities + Manage payroll processing for approximately 100 employees using ADP Workforce Now + Ensure payroll is processed accurately, timely, and in compliance with applicable regulations + Serve as the primary payroll resource for employees, management, and Finance + Develop and document payroll procedures and standard operating processes (SOPs) + Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve controls, and automate manual processes + Support the implementation of a new compensation and pay structure program + Partner with Finance and HR to ensure a smooth payroll transition and ongoing operational continuity Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience managing end-to-end payroll processing.
- Hands-on expertise with ADP Workforce Now in a payroll leadership capacity.
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax requirements, and wage-and-hour compliance.
- Experience supporting payroll for employee populations within the 101-500 range.
- Ability to document procedures and introduce practical improvements to payroll operations.
- Proven success working independently, setting priorities quickly, and performing effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Background in multi-state payroll administration.
- Prior consulting, interim, or project-based payroll experience is preferred.
