Key Responsibilities of the
Payroll Manager:
Lead and manage a payroll team responsible for weekly, bi‑weekly, and off‑cycle payrolls across multiple subsidiaries, ensuring accuracy and on‑time delivery. Oversee end‑to‑end payroll operations , including salaries, hours worked, leave, accruals, deductions, garnishments, and proper tax treatment. Partner cross‑functionally with sales, field, revenue, and finance teams to improve data quality, streamline processes, and support scalable payroll systems. Manage payroll tax reporting, W‑2s, audits, and financial reporting requests . Drive process improvements and documentation , including maintaining and updating payroll policies and procedures. Support M&A activity by planning and overseeing payroll transitions and integrations. Qualifications for the Payroll Manager Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field 10 years of payroll management experience, including people management, with strong expertise in ADP Systems Implementation preferred Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification, strongly preferred Multi-state and multi-payroll experience supporting 2,000+ employees Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal payroll tax requirements Demonstrated strong interpersonal, leadership, and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset #GAAP #CPP #Payroll #accounting #LI-JM4 #multistatepayroll #ADP #CertifiedPayrollProfessional #
