Eligible for Health , Dental and Vision About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Payroll Lead to join a growing organization with complex multi-state payroll operations. This role is ideal for a senior-level payroll professional who enjoys being hands-on, solving complex payroll issues, improving processes, and serving as a trusted payroll subject matter expert. The Senior Payroll Lead will partner closely with HR, Finance, Accounting, and leadership teams to ensure accurate payroll processing, compliance, reporting, and continuous operational improvement. Key Responsibilities Payroll Operations Process and review multi-state payrolls for accuracy, completeness, and compliance Audit payroll data including earnings, deductions, taxes, garnishments, and adjustments prior to payroll finalization Resolve payroll discrepancies, off-cycle requests, corrections, and complex payroll scenarios Serve as an escalation point for payroll-related questions and issue resolution Support payroll tax compliance and ensure adherence to federal, state, and local wage and hour laws Maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll and employee information Team Support & Leadership Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to payroll team members Review payroll work prepared by others to ensure consistency and accuracy Assist with training, process reinforcement, and knowledge sharing across the team Partner cross-functionally with HR, Accounting, and Finance to support payroll operations Process Improvement & Compliance Identify opportunities to improve payroll workflows, controls, and operational efficiency Assist with payroll audits, reconciliations, reporting, and documentation Support implementation, upgrades, testing, and optimization of payroll systems Maintain payroll procedures, job aids, and process documentation Stay current on payroll regulations and compliance updates Qualifications 7+ years of progressive payroll experience in a mid-size or large organization Strong multi-state payroll processing experience required Experience serving in a senior payroll, lead, or mentorship capacity 5+ years of ADP experience preferred, including implementation, conversion, or upgrade exposure Strong understanding of payroll tax regulations, wage and hour laws, and compliance requirements Advanced problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Preferred Qualifications Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation Experience with job costing, prevailing wage, or multi-city payroll tax compliance Construction, engineering, or project-based industry experience is a plus Benefits Competitive compensation and bonus opportunity Hybrid work flexibility Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) and retirement benefits Generous PTO package Collaborative and growth-oriented work environment Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
