This role involves managing payroll for multiple companies, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and supporting employees through onboarding, benefits administration, and policy development. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in payroll systems, employment laws, and HR best practices to contribute to a productive and detail-oriented workplace.
Responsibilities:
Process payroll accurately and efficiently for multiple companies, including a new entity joining soon. Calculate and manage tax obligations to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Facilitate onboarding and offboarding processes to provide a seamless experience for employees. Oversee the administration of 401K plans and health insurance programs. Develop and maintain payroll and HR policies, including the company handbook. Draft employment agreements for new hires and contractor agreements for external collaborators. Review and resolve discrepancies in payroll records and employee timesheets. Assist in preparing and coordinating employee performance reviews. Ensure legal compliance by posting required notices within designated timeframes. Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and HR operations. Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with employees and management. Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail. Proven ability to negotiate, resolve conflicts, and maintain confidentiality. Solid understanding of employment-related laws and regulations across multiple states. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with payroll systems. Demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues and provide practical solutions. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
