Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Director of Payroll to oversee enterprise-wide payroll operations supporting approximately 55,000 employees across a large, multi-state organization. This highly visible leadership role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading high-performing teams while serving as the functional expert for Oracle Payroll. You'll partner closely with HR, Finance, and IT to optimize payroll operations, enhance system performance, and drive continuous process improvement. Hybrid Schedule | Brentwood, TN Relocation assistance available for qualified candidates. What You'll Do Lead enterprise payroll operations across a large, multi-state organization, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing. Provide strategic leadership to a payroll organization consisting of 2 Payroll Managers and approximately 40 indirect team members. Serve as the functional business leader for Oracle Payroll , partnering with HR, Finance, and IT to optimize payroll systems and processes. Lead post-go-live Oracle Payroll activities, including quarterly release testing, payroll validation, troubleshooting, enhancement requests, and system optimization. Drive payroll process improvements, automation initiatives, and operational efficiencies. Partner with internal stakeholders to enhance payroll reporting, compliance, and overall system functionality. Support the continued transition and expansion of payroll operations within the Oracle environment. What We're Looking For 10+ years of progressive payroll leadership experience within a large, complex organization. Hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion Payroll / Oracle Payroll Cloud . Proven experience supporting Oracle Payroll after implementation , including: Quarterly release testing Payroll validation System troubleshooting Enhancement requests Continuous optimization Experience serving as the Payroll business lead or subject matter expert partnering with HRIS and IT teams. Strong background leading multi-state payroll operations in an enterprise or shared services environment. Extensive knowledge of payroll compliance, payroll operations, and payroll accounting. Preferred Qualifications Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred. Oracle implementation experience. Experience with Oracle HCM. Payroll process automation and continuous improvement expertise. Experience with payroll accounting and general ledger reconciliation.
Pay:
$145,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
