ROLE IMPACT
Lead accurate, timely payroll operations while protecting confidential employee and financial information. This role manages the full payroll cycle, resolves complex discrepancies, supports compliance and audits, and partners with HR, Finance, and Accounting. Success means reliable payroll processing, strong internal controls, and responsive employee support.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the complete payroll cycle, including timesheets, deductions, adjustments, new hires, terminations, pay changes, leave adjustments, and other employee updates. Reconcile payroll reports, deductions, taxes, and benefit-related transactions while researching and resolving discrepancies and payment issues. Ensure payroll practices comply with federal, state, and local requirements and maintain complete, accurate payroll records and supporting documentation. Partner with Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, leadership, auditors, and other stakeholders on payroll reporting, audits, and employee inquiries. Review payroll procedures, recommend process and internal-control improvements, maintain strict confidentiality, and guide payroll staff as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Previous payroll management or senior-level payroll experience, including responsibility for a complete payroll cycle in a deadline-driven environment. Strong knowledge of payroll processing, payroll taxes, wage and hour requirements, deductions, reconciliations, and payroll compliance. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with payroll or Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), with demonstrated analytical and problem-solving ability.
