Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Administrator to support payroll operations for a well-established organization. This role is designed as a long-term succession opportunity, with the intent for this individual to grow into a leadership position overseeing payroll functions in the coming years. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience processing in-house payroll, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
Key ResponsibilitiesReview and audit time entries to ensure accuracy prior to payroll processingProcess payroll adjustments including bonuses, retro pay, and missed timeMaintain employee payroll records, including tax updates, direct deposits, compensation changes, and terminationsSupport onboarding and offboarding processes, including new hire and rehire setupEnsure compliance with payroll policies, procedures, and applicable regulationsAssist with employment verifications and unemployment inquiriesServe as a point of contact for payroll-related questions and support a payroll helplinePartner with HR on employee status changes and related documentationMaintain proper documentation and filing of payroll recordsSupport I-9 compliance and employment eligibility verification processesAssist with reporting and special projects as neededWhy This RoleThis position offers a clear path for growth into a Payroll Manager role, providing the opportunity to learn the full scope of payroll operations and take on increasing responsibility over time within a stable and growing organization.
