This role will be responsible for accurate and timely payroll processing with a strong focus on union payroll and construction-specific requirements. This position is paying between $28/hr-$33/hr DOE. Responsibilities Process weekly/biweekly payroll accurately and efficiently for employees across multiple job sites. Process and maintain union payroll in accordance with collective bargaining agreements and applicable wage requirements. Review and verify employee timecards, regular hours, overtime, double time, PTO, bonuses, and other payroll adjustments. Ensure employees were paid according to applicable union wage rates, classifications, and prevailing wage requirements. Calculate and process union dues, benefit deductions, garnishments, reimbursements, and other payroll deductions. Maintain accurate employee payroll records, including tax information, deductions, wage rates, and benefit information. Review payroll for accuracy and identify and resolve discrepancies, missing time, and payroll errors prior to processing. Coordinate with project managers, supervisors, HR, and Accounting to collect and verify payroll information. Prepare and submit union reports, certified payroll documentation, and other required payroll filings. Ensure payroll practices complied with federal, state, local, and union requirements. Assist with new-hire setup, employee changes, terminations, direct deposits, and payroll adjustments. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and payroll information. Respond to employee questions regarding paychecks, deductions, timekeeping, taxes, benefits, and payroll policies. Reconcile payroll information and assist with payroll audits and month-end reporting. Maintain organized payroll documentation and records for audit and compliance purposes. Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and payroll reconciliations. Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, accuracy, and efficiency. Assist with additional HR, accounting, and payroll-related projects as needed. Qualifications Bachelor Degree preferred MUST have at least 3 years of payroll processing experience. MUST have union payroll experience. Construction industry payroll experience strongly preferred. Strong understanding of union wage rates, classifications, deductions, benefits, and reporting requirements. Experience with payroll and timekeeping systems. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict payroll deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
