Job Description

Description We are looking for an experienced Certified Payroll Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Phoenix, Arizona. This role requires expertise in managing payroll processes for a large workforce across multiple states, ensuring compliance with certified payroll requirements. The position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic steel manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Process full-cycle payroll for a workforce of approximately 700 employees across multiple states.
  • Ensure compliance with certified payroll requirements and regulations.
  • Utilize Sage 300 software to manage payroll operations efficiently.
  • Address and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and submit accurate payroll reports as required by federal and state laws.
  • Collaborate with management to support payroll audits and reporting needs.
  • Maintain detailed records for multi-state payroll processes.
  • Monitor changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees regarding payroll-related inquiries. Requirements
  • Proven experience in full-cycle payroll processing.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on expertise with certified payroll.
  • Proficiency with Sage 300 software.
  • Experience managing payroll for a large workforce of over 500 employees.
  • Familiarity with multi-state payroll regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management.
  • Understanding of payroll compliance and reporting requirements.
