$55,000 - $65,000 per year Job Details - We're looking for a Payroll Specialist to own the full payroll cycle for a large, multi-location workforce. You'll sit within the accounting and finance team at the corporate office and be the go-to person for everything from timesheet review to compliance. This is a hands-on role — you're in the weeds processing payroll, not just overseeing it. What You'll Do Run end-to-end payroll processing across multiple locations using automated payroll and timekeeping systems Review and verify timesheets, PTO balances, and attendance records before each pay run Process direct deposits, final pays, pay cards, and manual checks per state-specific requirements Handle garnishments, medical support orders, and third-party vendor coordination Enter and maintain employee data in HRIS — tax updates, direct deposit changes, new hires, terms Catch and correct pay discrepancies, retroactive adjustments, and prior-period errors Pull and review payroll reports to confirm accuracy before and after each cycle Keep up with federal and state payroll regulations and flag anything that needs updating Support store and corporate managers with timekeeping questions and training Maintain strict confidentiality across all payroll records What You Bring 2+ years processing payroll (multi-location or high-volume retail is a plus) Solid working knowledge of federal and state wage and hour laws Experience with HRIS and automated timekeeping systems Strong Excel skills and comfort navigating the full Microsoft Office suite The kind of attention to detail where a $0.12 variance bothers you Ability to juggle multiple deadlines without dropping anything Clear communicator who can work with employees at every level Nice to Have FPC or CPP certification Coursework in accounting, finance, or bookkeeping Experience with garnishment processing and medical support orders Retail or multi-state payroll background A bit about us: - A well established, national retail company headquartered in Phoenix with a strong culture centered on growth, wellness, and taking care of their team.
