Job Description Addison Group is partnering with a well-established organization in Orange County seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to join their team on a temporary-to-permanent basis. This role will support high-volume, multi-state payroll operations and requires a strong understanding of payroll processing, compliance, reporting, and payroll accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have experience processing payroll for large employee populations, possess strong systems knowledge, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities Process semi-monthly and bi-weekly multi-state payroll for a large employee population Review and validate payroll data to ensure accurate payroll payments, deductions, and reporting Audit timekeeping records and employee payroll changes for accuracy and compliance Research and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner Maintain payroll records and assist with quarterly and year-end payroll reporting Support payroll tax reconciliations, W-2 processing, and related compliance activities Prepare payroll-related journal entries and assist with account reconciliations Collaborate cross-functionally with Human Resources and Accounting teams Generate payroll reports and support ad hoc financial and payroll analysis requests Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of sensitive employee payroll information Qualifications 5+ years of high-volume, multi-state payroll experience Experience processing payroll for 1,000+ employees required Strong knowledge of payroll systems, including Workday Experience working with Workday and payroll/timekeeping systems preferred Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze and manipulate payroll data Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced environment EEO Statement Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
