Payroll Specialist 🚨 πŸ“ Bakersfield, CA πŸ’° $24-$27/hr DOE ? Direct Hire Opportunity We're seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join a busy, fast-paced team! This position is ideal for a payroll professional who can confidently manage high-volume payroll processing while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and exceptional attention to detail.
Qualifications:
? Minimum 3 years of recent, consecutive full cycle payroll experience required ? Strong Microsoft Excel skills (reports, spreadsheets, data analysis) ? Bilingual Spanish preferred
Responsibilities:
  • Process full-cycle payroll accurately and on schedule for hourly and salaried employees
  • Manage high-volume payroll processing in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain payroll records and employee earnings, deductions, and tax information
  • Calculate and process garnishments, levies, child support orders, and wage attachments
  • Process new hires, terminations, pay rate changes, bonuses, commissions, and other payroll adjustments
  • Reconcile payroll reports and investigate payroll discrepancies
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company payroll policies and procedures
  • Prepare payroll reports, audits, and year-end payroll documentation
  • Assist with benefits deductions, workers' compensation reporting, and employee payroll inquiries
  • Coordinate with HR regarding employee status changes and payroll impacts
  • Maintain accurate employee records and payroll documentation
  • Utilize Excel for reporting, tracking, audits, and payroll analysis ?
