Payroll Specialist

Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a detail-driven and knowledgeable Payroll Specialist to manage and process accurate, timely payroll. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with payroll laws, maintaining payroll records, and resolving payroll-related questions. The ideal candidate is highly organized, confidential, and experienced with multi-state payroll processing. Key Responsibilities Process bi-weekly/monthly payroll accurately and on time Maintain employee payroll records, including wages, deductions, and benefits Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws Calculate overtime, bonuses, commissions, and adjustments Process garnishments, benefits deductions, and tax withholdings Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies Coordinate with HR on new hires, terminations, and pay changes Prepare payroll reports for management, audits, and accounting Respond to employee payroll inquiries professionally and confidentially Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred 2+ years of payroll processing experience Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations Experience with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Paycom, UKG, or similar) Advanced Excel skills (formulas, reconciliations, reporting) Exceptional attention to detail and confidentiality Strong time management and organizational skills Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
