Job Description

Our client, a major Japanese food distributor is seeking a Payroll Clerk . 【Location】Commerce, CA 【Position】 Payroll Clerk 【Compensation】$24-26/h 【Hiring Style】Direct hiring, Full-time, Onsite, non-exempt
Responsibilities:
Manager & Employee Support:
Assist the Payroll Manager and resolve internal payroll inquiries.
Data & System Management:
Input data into ADP, maintain the database, and perform system updates.
Payroll Processing:
Compile time sheets, handle status changes (hires/terminations), and distribute payroll.
Taxes & Deductions:
Process withholdings, taxes (W-4, DE4), and manage wage deductions.
Data Verification:
Screen all time-worked inputs for accuracy in calculations and coding.
Reconciliation & Auditing:
Balance payroll data, fix errors, and support compliance audits.
Reporting & Analysis:
Generate payroll reports and alert management to any discrepancies.
Record Keeping:
Maintain confidential employee files and accurate compliance records
Qualifications:
3 years plus years of payroll or accounting experience ADP system experience Multistate payroll experience Union Contract experience

$24.00 - $26.00 per hour
