Payroll Specialist Clear Choice Staffing Inc Corona, CA Job Details Full-time $22 - $24 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Data management Attention to detail Organizational skills Associate's degree Full Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team! (Not an entry-level position) Responsibilities Process weekly/bi-weekly payroll for all employees with accuracy and confidentiality Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws Maintain and update employee payroll records (new hires, terminations, pay changes, deductions, etc.) Review and verify timesheets, attendance records, and overtime calculations Handle payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly Prepare payroll reports for accounting and management Manage benefit deductions, garnishments, and PTO accruals Assist with year-end processes such as W-2 and 1099 preparation Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure data accuracy and alignment Maintain knowledge of payroll best practices and regulatory changes . Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, HR, or related field preferred 2+ years of payroll experience (or equivalent combination of education/experience) Strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., Inova, Case Magic, QuickBooks) Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Strong communication and problem-solving abilities Familiarity with MS Office (especially Excel, Pivot Tablets, LibreOffice) Monday-Friday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm. Additional hours as needs arise.
Pay:
$22.00 - $24.00 per hour
