Job Description

Job Summary:
Oh So Original, Inc. is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Payroll Clerk. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end process of accurate bi-weekly payroll processing for OSO employees. The successful candidate will act as a key admirative support individual, ensuring data integrity in our system and maintaining absolute confidentiality regarding sensitive employee information. Beyond processing, you will leverage payroll software to prepare critical reports for management to support informed decision-making and audit readiness.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Practice OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and comply with all company safety policies and procedures
Payroll Processing:
Process the full bi-weekly payroll cycle, including review gross/net pay, overtime, bonuses and deductions.
  • Assist Payroll Manager with Benefits administration.
  • Support Payroll Manager to maintain accurate employee records including new hires, status changes, terminations, and verify timekeeping data.
  • Assist employees regarding payroll inquiries, tax forms, garnishments and benefit deductions.
  • Process time sensitive termination checks as required
Timekeeping :
review, validate & export hours to ensure these are accurately captured, processed and paid
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
    Experience:
    1-3 years of experience with payroll processing for California employees
      Accuracy:
      Exceptional attention to detail with a track record of high accuracy data entry and numerical literacy
        Communication:
        Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
          Technical Skills:
          Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
            Confidentiality:
            Proven ability to handle sensitive information with extreme discretion.
            Preferred Qualifications:
            • Experience with SuitePeople US Payroll (NetSuite) or similar HRIS system.
            • Experience with Processing payroll for 50+ including hourly and salary
