Full-Time/ Temp-to-Hire Overview We are seeking an experienced HR & Payroll Specialist to support day-to-day payroll and human resources operations and ensure accurate timekeeping, timely payroll processing for our team. This role plays a key part in maintaining compliance, supporting employees, and contributing to a positive workplace culture. Key Responsibilities Payroll Administration Process biweekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees with a high degree of accuracy. Review and validate timecards, timesheet adjustments, and PTO requests. Maintain payroll records, deductions, garnishments, benefits premiums, and tax filings. Coordinate with managers to resolve payroll discrepancies and ensure timely approvals. Prepare payroll summary reports and support finance with month-end reporting. Human Resources Support Oversee employee onboarding and offboarding, including background checks, new-hire paperwork, and benefits enrollment. Support benefits administration, open enrollment, and employee inquiries. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies. Compliance & Administration Maintain up-to-date knowledge of labor laws, wage and hour regulations, and payroll requirements. Assist with audits, reporting, and company-wide policy updates. Prepare and maintain HR and payroll metrics for internal reporting. Qualifications 3+ years of payroll and HR experience, preferably in a service-focused or field-based workforce environment. Strong knowledge of payroll processing, labor laws, and HR best practices. Experience with HRIS and payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Kronos, etc.). Excellent attention to detail, confidentiality, and organizational skills. Strong communication and customer-service mindset. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
