Job Description
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Certified Payroll Administrator to join our team in Irvine, California. This is a long-term contract position ideal for someone with expertise in payroll reporting, prevailing wage compliance, and union regulations, particularly within the construction industry. The role requires a strong understanding of labor laws and advanced documentation practices to ensure accuracy and compliance in payroll processes.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit weekly certified payroll reports, such as Form WH-347, to government agencies to ensure compliance.
- Verify worker classifications and pay rates to meet the requirements of the Davis-Bacon Act and prevailing wage laws.
- Review subcontractor payroll submissions to maintain accuracy and adherence to compliance standards.
- Maintain detailed records of prevailing wages, fringe benefits, and union deductions for auditing purposes.
- Ensure payroll processes align with multi-state regulations and company policies.
- Utilize construction-specific payroll software, including ADP Workforce Now, to manage full-cycle payroll for 101-500 employees.
- Monitor and address discrepancies in payroll data to resolve issues promptly.
- Provide guidance on labor law compliance and best practices to internal teams and subcontractors. Requirements
- Proven experience in managing full-cycle payroll processes, particularly for 101-500 employees.
- Expertise in multi-state payroll practices and compliance with labor laws.
- Proficiency in using ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll systems.
- Strong knowledge of the Davis-Bacon Act and related prevailing wage regulations.
- Familiarity with construction industry payroll software and reporting tools.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate records.
- Ability to analyze and resolve payroll discrepancies effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and subcontractors.
