Since 2013 we've paired journeyman craftsmanship with data-driven labor analytics, prefabrication, and modern field coordination to deliver commercial, multifamily, mission-critical / data-center, and advanced-industrial projects. We're an open-shop (merit shop) contractor scaling into Los Angeles, Chicago, and Seattle. The role We need a detail-obsessed Payroll Specialist to run weekly field and office payroll and keep our vendor payables clean and on time. You'll be the person crews trust to get their checks right and vendors trust to get paid — a critical role as our headcount and project volume climb. What you'll do Payroll Process weekly multi-state payroll for field and office employees, including overtime, per diem, and travel. Handle certified payroll / prevailing-wage reporting (DIR, LCPtracker) on applicable public and prevailing-wage jobs. Maintain time records from field time-tracking, reconcile to job cost, and resolve discrepancies with foremen and PMs. Manage garnishments, deductions, new-hire setup, and payroll tax filings across CA, IL, and WA. Accounts Payable Process vendor invoices, subcontractor billings, and lien waivers ; match POs, receivers, and invoices (3-way match). Run weekly check/ACH runs, reconcile vendor statements, and manage 1099s. Code invoices to the correct job, phase, and cost code; partner with Purchasing and PMs on approvals. What you bring 3+ years of payroll and/or AP experience, ideally in construction or a multi-entity environment . Familiarity with certified payroll / prevailing wage strongly preferred (LCP tracker, DIR). Experience with Foundation (Foundation Software) strongly preferred; comparable construction accounting software (Sage 300 CRE, Vista) considered. High accuracy, discretion with confidential data, and strong Excel skills.
