7:00to 3:30pm
Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting & Payroll Specialist to manage day-to-day accounting functions, process payroll through ADP, and provide basic human resources support. This role requires strong organizational skills, accuracy, and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting:
Reconcile bank activity and general ledger accounts Process payments, including vendor payments and expense disbursements Create and send customer invoices in a timely manner Request and follow up on payments and deposits Perform accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end and year-end close Create financial reports and assist with financial analysis Maintain accurate financial records and documentation File sales and use tax and property tax with the state Assist with audits and financial reporting as needed Payroll (ADP): Process payroll using ADP Ensure accuracy of employee hours, wages, and deductions Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with applicable laws Handle payroll-related inquiries from employees Coordinate with ADP for system updates, reporting, and issue resolution
Human Resources Support:
Process employee hirings and terminations Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes Receive and track employee absence forms and time-off requests Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with company policies Support benefits administration and employee communications Track attendance, PTO, and employee status changes Assist with basic employee relations matters and documentation
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in accounting and payroll Experience using ADP payroll systems preferred Basic knowledge of HR practices Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism Strong communication and problem-solving skills
