Onsite, in office, Modesto, CARange listed is dependent upon experienceThe payroll assistant will be responsible for processing weekly payroll and maintaining time records.Essential Functions Include:
Enters, maintains, and/or processes information in the payroll system; information may include employees hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, and other information. Ensures proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, charitable contributions, and other deductions. Issues, or reissues, physical or replacement checks or direct deposits due to payroll errors or final discharge. Maintain all garnishment, support orders and processes federal and state withholding orders. Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications Include:
Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll software. ADP payroll experience preferred.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. High school diploma or equivalent required.
Two years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping with at least six months of experience in payroll preferred.
Physical Requirement:
Must be able to perform with or without accommodations Consistent and reliable attendanceProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
May require occasional overtime, based on business needs
