Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Knowledge of payroll regulations, tax withholdings, and wage and hour compliance preferred. Familiarity with payroll software and accounting systems. Experience Requirements 2 years of previous payroll processing experience required. Experience processing payroll for multiple clients, business locations, or employee groups preferred. Proficiency with EasyACCT and QuickBooks strongly preferred. Experience handling payroll deductions, garnishments, tax withholdings, and direct deposits. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills when addressing payroll questions and discrepancies. Physical Capabilities Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods. Strong keyboarding, data entry, and recordkeeping skills. Ability to review detailed payroll information while maintaining accuracy. Capable of managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced office environment. Ability to communicate effectively with employees, managers, and clients. Job Duties Process payroll for 22 client accounts ranging from 1 to 54 employees. Review and verify employee timesheets to ensure accurate reporting of hours worked. Calculate wages, overtime, commissions, bonuses, tips, and applicable deductions. Process payroll using EasyACCT and QuickBooks software. Enter and maintain employee payroll data, including tax withholdings, benefit deductions, and direct deposit information. Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure confidentiality of employee information. Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, questions, and payment issues. Process wage garnishments, tax levies, and other court-ordered deductions. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and company policies.
