Job Description

We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to oversee payroll operations for a multi-state workforce based in City of Industry, California. This role is responsible for delivering accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with applicable wage and tax regulations. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience with payroll systems, careful attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with HR and Finance teams.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing across multiple states and locations, ensuring each payroll cycle is completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Review timekeeping, attendance, and related payroll inputs to confirm data integrity before final payroll submission.
  • Handle special payments such as manual checks, corrections, and off-cycle payroll transactions when needed.
  • Reconcile payroll results, verify reports, and maintain complete payroll records and supporting documentation.
  • Administer garnishments, levies, child support orders, and other required deductions in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Coordinate quarterly and year-end payroll tax activities, including filings, reconciliations, and W-2 preparation.
  • Support benefit-related payroll transactions and work with external vendors on items such as retirement and other employee programs.
  • Partner with HR and Finance to align employee data, benefit changes, and payroll reporting, while assisting with related accounting support as needed.
  • Troubleshoot payroll system interfaces and file transmissions, and update procedures or process documentation to improve consistency and compliance.
