Job Description

Position OverviewThe Payroll Clerk supports the payroll function by assisting with accurate and timely payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees. This role will support union and non‑union payroll, making attention to detail, confidentiality, and follow‑through critical. Union payroll exposure will be provided—prior union experience is not required.

Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with processing weekly, bi‑weekly, or semi‑monthly payrollEnter and audit timesheets, hours worked, and payroll dataSupport payroll calculations including regular, overtime, and adjustmentsAssist with union payroll support (rates, job codes, deductions, reporting)Maintain employee payroll records and documentationRespond to employee payroll questions and basic inquiriesAssist with payroll reconciliations and variance reviewsSupport compliance with payroll regulations and internal controlsPrepare payroll reports and support audits as neededMaintain confidentiality of payroll and employee data
