Position Overview The Payroll Administrator is responsible for processing accurate and timely payroll while ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. This role supports payroll operations, audits, reporting, and employee inquiries, and partners closely with HR, Finance, and external vendors.Responsibilities and Qualifications:
Key Responsibilities Payroll Processing & Administration Process full-cycle payroll (weekly, biweekly, or semi-monthly) for hourly and salaried employees Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and deductions Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and pay changes Review and audit payroll data for accuracy prior to submission Compliance & Reporting Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws (FLSA, tax regulations, etc.) Process payroll taxes, garnishments, levies, and other statutory deductions Prepare and submit required payroll reports, including quarterly filings, year-end reporting, and W-2s Support internal and external audits by providing payroll documentation Timekeeping & Systems Partner with HR and managers to ensure accurate timekeeping and approvals Troubleshoot discrepancies related to time and attendance systems Maintain payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Dayforce, Workday, Paycom) Employee Support Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, taxes, and deductions Provide guidance on payroll-related policies and procedures Resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner Process Improvement & Support Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and efficiency Assist with system implementations, upgrades, or integrations Support cross-functional projects with HR, Finance, and Accounting Additional Responsibilities & Miscellaneous Support company values in the areas of Safety, Customer Focus, Teamwork, Integrity, and being a Company of Choice for employees and customers Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Office, and Excel 5+ years of progressive payroll experience Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization Ceridian Dayforce payroll and payroll accounting experience preferred Strong analytical, mathematical, written, and verbal communication skills Proven ability to meet deadlines, multitask, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to company ethics standards Familiarity with state and local tax requirements, including employee taxable benefits Multi-jurisdictional tax experience preferred Knowledge of payroll tax regulations, principles, and standardsCompensation and Benefits:
Reports To VP of Payroll & HRIS Compensation The listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position. Within the range, individual pay may vary based on experience, qualifications, and work location within state. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.Base:
$28.00 - $34.00 per hourBonus:
10% Target Bonus Total Compensation (Base + Bonus): The successful candidate could reasonably expect a Total Compensation Package in the range of $61,000 - $81,000Equity:
