Payroll Specialist

Job Description:

(Onsite) The Payroll Specialist will perform various tasks needed within the office. Day-to-day life as a Payroll Specialist includes collecting timecards, processing and entering them, and updating various payroll-related worksheets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coding, highlighting, and entering timecards
• Verifying employees are being coded to the correct work class.
• Completes necessary payroll (Excel) worksheets within the payroll weekly packet to ensure accuracy
• Process physical checks
• Processes and submits weekly tax, child support, 401 (k), and garnishment payments
• Responsible for all aspects of certified payroll reporting and related compliance document requests
• I-9 compliance
• Assists with the new hire process, including onboarding paperwork and data entry of employee information Knowledge and Skills needed to perform job duties:
• Attention to detail
• Reliable and dependable - regular, punctual attendance is required
• Ability to communicate effectively - written and verbally
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with deadlines
• Knowledgeable In Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.
• Bilingual preferred Physical demands: Physical demands will be essential to success in the work environment.

Ability to occasionally lift, move, or carry up to 15 lbs., Ability to sit or stand for a long period of time.

Pay:

$28.00 - $32.00 per hour
