Payroll Specialist

Description + Process weekly/biweekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees + Review and validate timesheets, earnings, bonuses, and deductions + Ensure accurate calculation of taxes, benefits, garnishments, and withholdings + Maintain employee payroll records and handle new hire/termination updates + Address employee questions related to pay, PTO, taxes, and deductions + Assist with payroll reporting, reconciliations, and year‑end tasks (W‑2s, audits) + Partner with HR and Finance to ensure data accuracy and compliance Requirements + 3+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience + Strong knowledge of federal and state wage laws, overtime rules, and payroll tax regulations + Experience with payroll systems (ADP, Paycom, Paychex, UKG, Workday, etc.) + Proficiency with Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables preferred) + High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail + Strong customer-service skills and ability to communicate complex payroll topics clearly Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) + Multi-state payroll experience + Experience with benefit deductions, 401(k) administration, or garnishment processing + Prior experience in high-volume payroll environments Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
