Position Summary Employers Council is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our team. We partner with employers to grow exceptional, dynamic workplaces by offering a comprehensive set of services. The Payroll Specialist will provide direct support for our members and non-members within a wide variety of industries all while providing exceptional customer service. Assists with implementations, processing, post payroll reports, and reconciliations; may on occasion assist with payroll audits. Salary:
$78,000.00/ Yr Essential Duties and Responsibilities Payroll processing that includes importing, proofing, editing, running, and transmitting all payroll wages and tips, deductions, reimbursements, bonuses, commissions, and manual payments consistent with federal and state wage and hour laws for member and non-member organizations. Audit and analyze payroll data for accuracy of posting including intercompany transactions. Prepare journal entries and pre- and post-registers as well as off-cycles; respond to requests related to payroll and benefits; record timely and accurately. Assist with issues and questions regarding payroll from employees and supervisors in a timely manner. Provide organized project planning and support with organizations switching from one HRIS system to another including data extraction, validation, and test payrolls. Must be available to travel when required. Qualifications/Education Listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and ability required. 2 or more years of experience in payroll. Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding payroll. Experiencing using one or more of the following systems: ADP Paylocity BambooHR Paychex UKG Ready Workday Preferred Qualifications Experience conducting a payroll audit. Experience implementing a newHRIS / HRMS
system. Local to the Denver Metropolitan area Work Environment General office environment with opportunities to work remotely. Occasional lifting.
