Why This Opportunity Stands Out High-impact position with visibility across HR and Accounting Opportunity to take ownership of payroll and improve processes Stable, consistent function with long-term career growth Team that values accuracy, responsiveness, and collaboration Responsibilities Own the Payroll Process Process weekly, bi-weekly, or semi-monthly payroll for a multi-state employee base Ensure payroll is accurate, timely, and compliant with federal, state, and local regulations Review and audit payroll data including wages, deductions, bonuses, and commissions Maintain and update employee payroll records (new hires, terminations, changes) Process garnishments, levies, and other withholdings Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate payroll reports Compliance & Reporting Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws, tax regulations, and company policies Assist with payroll tax filings, W-2s, and year-end processing Support internal and external audits as needed
Qualifications:
2–5+ years of payroll experience, ideally in a multi-state environment Strong understanding of payroll laws, taxes, and compliance requirements Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Paychex, UKG, Workday, or similar High attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines Strong communication skills—someone employees trust to get it right Salary up to $90K #
