Full Job Description General Function:
Under the supervision of the Controller, this position is responsible for GNHTD payroll functions. Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of agency-wide payroll, maintaining employee records, and ensuring compliance with applicable policies, agreements, and regulatory requirements.
Accountability:
This position reports to the Controller and works collaboratively with all staff across the organization.
Position Requirements:
1. Serve as the primary point of contact for agency-wide payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payroll cycles. 2. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in ADP, including personal, tax, compensation, and classification data, ensuring proper setup across departments, union/non-union, and employment classifications. 3. Ensure wages and benefit accruals are administered in accordance with agency policies and the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement. 4. Manage employee dependent enrollment and maintain records in compliance with Affordable Care Act requirements, including annual 1095-C reporting. 5. Maintain organized payroll records and perform associated administrative functions to support department operations. 6. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years' experience in payroll processing.
  • Experience with ADP software system preferred
  • Strong analytical skills, along with superb written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others at all levels of the organization for the purpose of collecting and disseminating essential information.
  • Ability to complete work tasks with minimal supervision, meet established deadlines, and respond promptly as needed.
  • Ability to understand, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, procedures, contracts, and labor/management agreements.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and creativity in making decisions.
  • Ability to analyze and identify problems, implement solutions, and evaluate outcomes.
  • Ability to prepare comprehensive reports and correspondence.

Immediately reports to supervisor or Director of Risk Management any safety or security issue. Observes building access restrictions and locks doors when not present. Knows the nearest two safety exits and participates in safety drills.
