Upon a conditional offer of employment, the position requires a background check. Position Overview The Payroll Specialist will support the accurate and timely processing of semi-monthly payroll for approximately 440-465 employees. This position requires strong payroll processing, reconciliation, auditing, data analysis, and Excel skills. The Payroll Specialist will work across UKG/UltiPro and JAMIS Prime, which do not integrate, making accuracy and attention to detail especially important.

Employee Population :

Approximately 440-465 employees Keys to Hire At least two years of payroll experience UKG, UltiPro, Ultimate Software, or Kronos experience highly preferred Nonprofit or international development industry experience highly preferred Payroll software experience or relevant industry experience required Software experience is the first preference; candidates with nonprofit or international development experience and another payroll system may be considered Advanced Excel and strong data-analysis skills Experience reconciling payroll information between systems Software UKG/UltiPro Kronos JAMIS Prime Microsoft Excel Third-party payroll systems Responsibilities Process and support semi-monthly payroll for approximately 440-465 employees. Maintain employee W-4 forms, state tax information, direct deposit elections, benefit deductions, and retirement withholdings. Work closely with the third-party payroll vendor to ensure accurate recordkeeping, timely data entry, and proper account reconciliation. Serve as the primary backup for payroll processing. Review and audit employee timesheets for accuracy and completeness. Resolve payroll and timekeeping discrepancies by coordinating with employees and supervisors. Perform detailed data entry and reconcile information between UKG/UltiPro and JAMIS Prime. Analyze payroll data using advanced Excel functions and reporting tools. Compile labor reporting within JAMIS and the organization's accounting and finance systems. Create labor batches and reconcile payroll-related accounts payable activity. Prepare payroll journal entries. Assist with monthly state payroll reconciliations. Support year-end reconciliation of payroll-related general ledger accounts. Review payroll calculations when employees' pay rates or employment information change. Review wage garnishments, tax levies, and child-support orders to ensure accurate deductions. Coordinate with Human Resources regarding new hires, transfers, terminations, benefit deductions, employee changes, and mandatory payments. Coordinate and conduct payroll orientation for newly hired employees. Train new employees on the timekeeping system. Establish new state withholding and unemployment accounts as needed. Communicate with state, county, and other taxing authorities to resolve payroll tax matters. Research and resolve payroll tax discrepancies. Why choose Addison Finance & Accounting?
